At a writing conference for SCBWI, I met Tanager. Her art instantly drew me in and intrigued me. Her fun personality oozed with life, almost fantastical compared to my usual gray cubicle.

While sitting in a condo on the Oregon coast,  I blurt out,  "I think my lifeguards are going to ride dirt bikes."

The room erupts in laughter. "Where did that come from? "

Believe in Yourself

At the grocery store the other day, the checker had a tattoo on his arm that read, "Believe in Yourself". I had to smile when I saw it. "I like your tattoo."
"Really?" he asked. "I like it too."
"Yep, it's the theme of my book I just wrote."

Synchronicity is beautiful, isn't it?
